Authorized Agent Process

An authorized agent is a person or entity registered with the Secretary of State (or equivalent authority) to act on behalf of a consumer in submitting privacy rights requests. To submit a request through an authorized agent, you must provide proof of authorization and verification.

Required Documentation

  • Proof of authorization from the consumer (signed authorization form or power of attorney)
  • Verification of the consumer's identity
  • Verification of your identity as the authorized agent
  • Registration with Secretary of State (if applicable in your jurisdiction)
  • Clear description of the privacy rights request being made

How to Submit a Request

  1. Gather Required Documents: Collect all necessary documentation including proof of authorization, identity verification, and registration documents.
  2. Complete the Request Form: Fill out the authorized agent request form with all required information about the consumer and the requested action.
  3. Submit Documentation: Submit your request along with all required documentation through our secure portal or via email.
  4. Verification Process: We will verify both the consumer's identity and your authorization to act on their behalf. This process typically takes 5-10 business days.
  5. Request Processing: Once verified, we will process the consumer's privacy rights request within the timeframe required by applicable law (typically 30-45 days).
